Three Italian tennis players, Sara Errani – number 17 in the WTA ranking, Roberta Vinci (No. 38) and Karin Knapp (No. 42), are the main three favorites of the BRD Bucharest Open 2015, which takes place in Romania’s capital between July 13 and July 19.

Last year’s winner, Romanian star Simona Halep, is not on the list of participants. The tournament’s organizers have a wild-card for her, in case she decides to defend her title.

Romanians Alexandra Dulgheru (No. 51 WTA), Monica Niculescu (67) and Andreea Mitu (100) will play at the Bucharest Open.

The winner of the BRD Bucharest Open will get 280 WTA points and USD 43,000.
