Three qualify for piano finals at George Enescu competition in Romania
Vassilis Varvaresos (Greece), Josu De Solaun (Spain) and Ilya Rashkovskiy (Russia) are the three artists who qualified for the piano finals at this year’s edition of George Enescu competition in Romania.
The three young pianists will perform in the competition’s final scheduled to take place on September 27, 19:00, at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, together with the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by renowned pianist and conductor Justus Frantz. They will interpret Concerto No. 1 in B-flat Minor, Op. 23 by Tchaikovsky and Concerto No. 3 in D Minor, Op. 30 by Rachmaninoff.
Public access to the concert hall is possible even without reservation, within maximum seat availability. A total of 100 seats are also available outside the Romanian Athenaeum, where the Enescu Competition’s Piano Final can be watched live on a large screen. The event’s official website www.festivalenescu.ro will also broadcast live the final.
