Three quarters of Romanians see themselves European citizens
About three quarters of Romanians (71.4%) consider themselves European citizens, according to a survey carried out by INSCOP Research. Last year, 68.6% saw themselves European citizens.
Meanwhile, 65% of the respondents think that joining the European Union has brought Romania advantages, whereas 23% believe the contrary and 11.4% did not answer.
Most Romanians agree about joining the euro zone and establishing an EU army.
The European Union is associated with the right to free movement, democracy, and human rights or peace with neighboring countries.
Most Romanians (80.1%) agree with the Republic of Moldova joining the EU.
