Three quarters of Romanians stressed about personal finances
Romanian employees are becoming more and more stressed, and more than half say their level of stress increased over the previous year, according to a recent study by Regus. Personal finances are the main reason of stress- mentioned by almost three quarters of respondents in the study, followed by clients at work – 55 percent and colleagues – 25 percent.
Most employees believe a flexible work schedule would reduce stress – 70 percent. Around half of Romanians say flexible work helps them be more family oriented, while 85 percent believe it increases productivity.
The world economy instability fueled this increase in pressure and stress for employees, with most confirming their stress is work related.
World wide, it is more likely for small firm employees to be stressed by clients – 42 percent, than employees in large corporations – 27 percent. However, in small firms, fewer employees are offended by the management – 20 percent, than in corporations – 40 percent.
“No doubt, stressed employees are unhappy and unhealthy, so companies that want to help their employees lead better, more satisfying lives cannot forget about reducing the stress level in their company. Even so, stress also affects companies, which realize employees cannot keep up with requirements, need more medical leave and are less efficient,” said Ramona Iacob, Market Team Leader Regus.
