Real estate fair organizers blame Bucharest municipality for event cancellation
The organizers of the tIMOn real estate fair, one of the biggest in Bucharest, announced the event will be canceled because the Bucharest City Hall was late in issuing the necessary approvals.
The fair was supposed to take place in Bucharest’s George Enescu Square between April 19 and April 22.
The event was promoted starting February, but the organizers said they don’t have time to make the preparations on site because they received the City Hall’s approval on April 16, local News.ro reported. Thus, they couldn’t fence the perimeter, hire a security firm and bring the necessary utilities on site.
The tIMOn real estate fair has had 33 editions so far. The organizers claim that the Bucharest City Hall has run a campaign to discredit their brand.
