Famous American actor Tom Hanks has recommended his Facebook fans to watch Chuck Norris vs. Communism documentary directed by Romanian Ilinca Calugareanu.

“See this documentary! The power of film! To change the world. Hanx,” reads the actor’s post on his Facebook page.

Chuck Norris vs. Communism is based on a true story, a spectacular, life-beats-movies kind of tale. In the mid and late 1980s, thousands of VHS tapes with mostly Hollywood films were smuggled into the country from Hungary. Tom Hanks, 59, is one of the best-known American actors. He has played in movies such as Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, Apollo, Saving Private Ryan, and The Da Vinci Code.

He has also been nominated for numerous awards during his acting career, winning a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in Philadelphia, as well as a Golden Globe, an Academy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a People's Choice Award for Best Actor for his role in Forrest Gump.
