Tony Blair meets Romanian PM in second visit to the country this year
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has made another visit to Romania, this time meeting Romanian PM Victor Ponta.
This is his second such visit this year after one earlier in June.
Blair arrived at the Romanian Government headquarters on Thursday (October 3), where he talked to PM Ponta about ways to streamline the Romanian Government's public policies.
Blair, who is now an international consultant, stopped in Romania on his way to the Middle East, similarly to his visit in June, when he stopped on his way over to Israel.
The former British Prime Minister, now 60, is the special emissary of the Quartet for the Middle East, which is made up of the US, EU, Russia and the UN.
Blair was recently signed up as an adviser and lobbyist for Albania, which wants to join the European Union.
Tony Blair served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1997 to 2007. He previously visited Romania in 2012.
