IT services provider Luxoft Romania, one of the top 10 players in the local software market, has over 100 open positions and will hire at least 100 people, according to Bogdan Pelinescu, the company’s general manager.

Luxoft, which has about 1,400 employees now, is one of the most active employers in the IT sector. Last year the firm had some 932 employees whereas two years ago it had 780.

The group is interested in opening another center outside Bucharest, in big cities such as Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Timisoara, Brasov, Sibiu, or Galati, said Pelinescu, cited by local Wall-street.ro. However, it first needs to have projects that can be developed outside the capital.

Luxoft Romania is the third largest delivery center for Luxoft by headcount, after those in Russia and Ukraine. The company has 17 dedicated delivery centers worldwide and over 7,700 employees across 22 offices in 14 countries in North America, Western and Eastern Europe, and Asia Pacific.
