Romanian law firm NNDKP promotes four new equity partners
Romanian law firm Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen (NNDKP) has recently announced the promotion of Simona Neagu, Sorina Olaru (Cretu), Ioana Niculeasa and Emil Bivolaru as equity partners. As a result, the firm’s partnership structure now consists of twelve equity partners and four salaried partners.
Simona Neagu, Sorina Olaru (Cretu) and Emil Bivolaru coordinate, together with Radu Damaschin - salaried partner in the dispute arbitration department, a team of 33 litigators. “Over the past two years, the dispute arbitration team has coordinated highly complex projects: litigation between certain prominent banks in Romania and their clients in connection with consumer protection claims arising out of the enactment of Government Emergency Ordinance 50/2010, managing over 1,100 cases; the representation of Rompetrol in connection with the claims raised by the Romanian State related to the reimbursement of a fiscal debt to the amount of EUR 570 million,” reads a statement of the law firm.
NNDKP’s client portfolio for the dispute arbitration department includes companies such as Alpha Bank, Banca Comerciala Romana, Danube Fund, Globe Trade Centre , Lafarge Ciment, OMV Petrom, Bucharest City Hall, Rompetrol, Smithfield Ferme, Sonae Sierra, Tavistock Group (Arlynn), Tenaris, and Volksbank.
Ioana Niculeasa was involved in several real estate transactions that took place on the Romanian market during the last years, such as the sale of the business complex Floreasca Business Park to NEPI. Recently, Ioana Niculeasa coordinated the sale of the business complex City Business Center in Timisoara by the Romanian entrepreneur Ovidiu Sandor, as well as the De'Longhi group's entrance on the local market through the acquisition of the Nokia factory in Cluj (Jucu).
NNDKP is one of the largest Romanian law firms. It posted a turnover of EUR 15.7 million in 2010, on all its segments- law firm and specialized divisions. The firm was created 22 years ago by lawyers Ion and Manuela Nestor.
