Top spots for Romania for export and import growth in the EU

Romania was in EU’s top 3 for export growth, but came first when it came to increases in imports, according to data from Eurostat.

Thus, Romania’s exports registered an increase of 8% in January-May this year, compared to the same period in 2013, reaching the value of EUR 21.3 million. Similar increases were registered by Poland and the Czech Republic. Croatia registered the largest increase of 10%.

In terms of imports, Romania registered the largest increase in January-May, of 8%. Romania’s total imports had a value of EUR 23.6 million. The Czech Republic, Ireland and Poland registered the second highest increase of 7%.
