The 601 insurance brokers who were active in the local market and sent their reports to the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF), earned some EUR 105 million from insurance intermediation in the first half of the year, up by 11% year-on-year.

The brokers intermediated insurance premiums totaling EUR 566 million in this period, which stands for almost 60% of the total premiums underwritten by local insurers, reports local Economica.net. The top ten biggest brokers intermediated premiums of EUR 239 million, reaching 42% market share.

Insurance broker Safety Broker de Asigurare ranked first, with a market share of 7.4%, followed by Marsh, with a market share of 6.4%, and Transilvania Broker de Asigurare, with a market share of 5.3%.
