Toshiba Transmission and Distribution, a subsidiary of Japanese corporation Toshiba, will build two solar parks in Brasov county, Romania, for Luxembourg-based company Energreen Investment Group.

The total investment amounts to some EUR 37 million and the projects are conducted through two companies, namely Vis Solaris and Elisolar, both controlled by Energreen Investment Group, according to local news agency Mediafax.

Elisolar is building a solar park of around 5 MW in Halchiu, while Vis Solaris is developing a 17 MW photovoltaic project in Hoghiz. Both towns are located in Brasov county, central Romania.

Toshiba Transmission and Distribution provides a variety of products which control transmission and distribution in order to deliver reliable electricity to power plants, factories, or transportation systems.
