Two new touch screen devices allow passengers at the Henri Coanda – Otopeni airport in Bucharest to order cabs more easily, replacing the phone call system that had been in place for a month as a testing period. The new system uses software in several languages, as well as graphics which make it easier for passengers who do not speak any of the most common languages. The new system became functional on Tuesday, April 30, and offers free of charge use.

Two help desks are currently placed at the arrival area, as well as information boards with phone numbers of cab companies. This system was created in the beginning of February and offered for free to passengers. The measures were taken after many complaints from passengers who were being ripped off when using illegal, high – price cabs,and after a Japanese student was murdered by a man who helped her get a cab from the airport.
