Trade deficit reaches EUR 4.8 bln in Romania
The trade deficit in Romania increased by EUR 60 million year-on-year in the first ten months of the year reaching to EUR 4.8 billion, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
Exports amounted to EUR 44 billion, and imports reached EUR 48.8 billion.
Compared to the first ten months of 2013, exports increased by 6.8% (at values in EUR) and imports increased by 6.2% (at values in EUR), reads the INS statement.
Cars and transport equipment have an important share in the structure of exports and imports by products groups (42.1% of exports and 35.2% of imports), followed by other manufactured products (32.9% of exports and 30.9% of imports).
