Traffic jams trigger officials to announce alternative routes to Romania's seaside
Two new alternative routes are available for those traveling from Bucharest to the Romanian seaside, after many got stuck in traffic on their way to and from the seaside during the last week-ends, due to the works on the Dunare – Black Sea channel. The alternative routes are:
- A2 (Bucureşti-Drajna) – DN 21 (Drajna - Călăraşi - Chiciu) – Passage boat – Ostrov - DN 3 (Ostrov - Basarabi – Constanţa),
- A2 (Bucureşti - Lehliu) – DN 3 (Lehliu – Călăraşi - Chiciu) – Passage boat – Ostrov – DN 3 (Ostrov – Basarabi - Constanţa).
Due to works on the Dunarea – Black Sea channel, traffic has been diverted to:
Bucureşti - A2 - DJ 223C - Municipiul Cernavodă - DN 22C - Constanţa (for light traffic)
DN 2 (Bucureşti - Urziceni) – DN 2A (Slobozia – Giurgeni - Constanţa) – for heavy traffic
A2 (Bucureşti - Drajna) – DN 21 (Drajna - Slobozia) – DN 2A (Slobozia - Giurgeni – Constanţa) – for heavy traffic
A2 (Bucureşti - Feteşti) – DN 3B (Feteşti – Gura Ialomiţei) – DN 2A ( Gura Ialomiţei – Giurgeni – Constanţa) – for heavy traffic
