Representatives of the Turkish firm Nurol Makina ve Sanay will come to Bucharest this month to try to reach an agreement on the production of armored vehicles in Romania, reports local Wall-street.ro.

The Turkish company's officials have had several meetings with the Romanian side over the past three years, expressing their interest in signing partnerships with Romanian companies. The firm wants to talk with the Romanian authorities about an agreement to develop a production and assembly line for its latest generation of armored carriers.

Nurol Makina ve Sanayi has recently signed an agreement with the Uzbek firm UzAuto to produce 1,000 Ejder Yalcin 4x4 armored vehicles, also known as the "Stone Dragon". Nurol Makina ve Sanayi A.S. (Nurol Makina) was established in 1976.

Romania has recently signed an agreement with US group General Dynamics for the production of Piranha 8x8 armored carriers in the country.
