Turkish Ekol Logistics to invest EUR 8 mln in Romanian fleet expansion
The Turkish Company Ekol Logistics is planing an investment of EUR 8 million in Romania to expand its fleet of vehicles with another 100 trucks, which will create 115 new jobs for truck drivers. The investment would also help the company achieve a turnover for Romania this year of EUR 3 million, according to Ekol.
At a European Level, Ekol has made EUR 10 million investments in the last year. The company is aiming to expand across Europe and develop logistics in the Ukraine.Thus, Ekol this year acquired a 53 percent stake in Komora, one of the largest logistics companies in Ukraine.
Ekol started operations in 1990 and through the development of lines of transportation, warehousing, foreign trade and supply management systems, Ekol is able to provide internationally integrated services.
Ekol has distribution centers with a total of 400,000 sqm of area, sited in Turkey, Germany, Italy, Ukraine, Greece and Romania. The company claims they are equipped with the latest technology and innovations.
