Turkish group brings EUR 20 mln into Romanian subsidiary for new wood panel factory near Pitesti
Turkish group Yildiz Entegre, one of the biggest global producers of wooden boards, brought EUR 20 million worth of fresh capital to its Romanian subsidiary, in June, according to data from Romania’s Trade Registry Office – ONRC.
Yildiz Entegre is currently working on a wood board production facility in Romania, in Oarja village near Pitesti. The new factory will produce MDF (medium-density fiberboard) and HDF (high-density fiberboard) for the furniture industry.
The factory spans over 46 hectares of land and will have about 8 hectares of production halls. The total investment is estimated at EUR 150 million, according to local media. It will create some 470 jobs.
Yildiz Entegre is one of the largest global producers of wooden boards with a production capacity of 8,500 cubic meters per day. Its flagship location in Kocaeli (Turkey) is considered to be the world’s largest production location for MDF/HDF with an annual capacity of around 1.5 million cubic meters.
