Turkish ship sinks in Romanian Black Sea waters

A Turkish ship loaded with metal sank in the Black Sea off the Romanian coast, according to the Romanian naval authority. The 17 crew members on board were rescued.

The Medy ship had left the Romanian port of Constanta in the morning heading for Turkey. It was loaded with more than 6,000 tonnes of metal. After a couple of hours, the ship had started to sink and the crew asked for help. The Romanian ships which were trying to save the Turkish one were unable to keep it afloat.
