Turnover in wholesale trade, up by 10% in Romania
The wholesale trade turnover in Romania, except for car and motorcycle trade, rose by 10.7% as gross series in July, compared to the previous month. The growth was due to the increase in the wholesale trade of agricultural raw materials and live animals (up by 103.3% as gross series), according to the National Statistics Institute (INS).
The wholesale trade of food, beverages and tobacco also went up by 8%, whereas the specialized wholesale trade of other goods grew by 7.2%. The wholesale trade of computer and telecommunications equipment decreased by 25.4% while the wholesale trade with other machines, equipment and supplies dropped by 14.8%.
Compared to July 2014, the wholesale trade turnover went up by 5.9% as gross series.
