Two companies in Romania sign EUR 10 mln contract for underground gas storage
Romanian state-owned gas producer Romgaz signed with energy group Gdf Suez Romania a contract worth EUR 10 million (VAT included) for the underground storage of natural gas. The contract unfolds between April 16, 2015, and April 15, 2016.
The minimum gas stock that the 63 licensed suppliers have to deposit in underground storages by October 31, this year, totals 18.72 million MWh, according to Romania’s Energy Regulation Agency (ANRE), reports local Agerpres.
The minimum stock for household customers reaches 7.5 million MWh.
GDF Suez Energy Romania and E.ON Energie Romania will set up the largest deposits of 3.6 million MWh, respectively 3.19 million MWh.
