Cat fans in Romania will have yet another reason to book an Uber on Tuesday. For just RON 30, the Uber users can order one or two UberKittens, which they can play with for 15 minutes.

The bookings can be made on Tuesday, between 11:00 and 14:00, and the campaign will take place simultaneously in all four Romanian cities in which Uber is available, namely Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Brasov, and Timisoara.

The minimum tariff for playing for 15 minutes with the kittens will be RON 30, but those who want can pay more, as the money will go to several animal welfare organizations. The users will have to tell the driver what amount they want to donate.

Those who also want to adopt one of the kittens are advised to contact the animal welfare associations for more information about the adoption procedure.

To order the kittens, the user will have to open the Uber app, and choose the UberKittens option. Next, they have to type in the address and wait for the kittens to arrive, in a space suitable for the little animals.

Through this initiative, Uber aims to encourage the adoption of stray animals.
