Romanian tech “unicorn” UiPath opens new center in Cluj-Napoca
UiPath, a company that specializes in Enterprise Robotic Process Automation (RPA), which was recently valued at over USD 1 billion, announced it would open its second center in Romania, in Cluj-Napoca.
UiPath, which launched in Bucharest and also has development centers in Bellevue (US) and Bangalore (India), has acquired the Smart Data platform developed by Recognos, a software company founded in Cluj-Napoca 18 years ago. UiPath’s Cluj-Napoca office will be built around a team of specialists who developed the platform, managed by Andrei Roth, a former Recognos manager.
UiPath currently has more than 700 employees in 14 countries and plans to increase its team by over 40% by the end of August 2018.
