UK mining company invests EUR 4.5 mln in two sites in Romania
UK mining company Vast Resources invested over EUR 4.5 million in Romania last year. The investments went in two mines located in Bihor and Suceava counties.
The money was used to maintain the two mines’ infrastructure and supply them with new equipment.
The number of employees rose by over 50% after the British company started its activity in Romania in 2013. Vast Resources currently has 180 employees, but the number could double by the end of 2016, according to company representatives.
The British mining firm has resumed activity at the Manaila mine in Suceava in August last year, and aims to start the work at the Baita mine in Bihor this year. The company will extract complex ore from its two sites in Romania.
