Unilever South Central Europe names Dan Oprescu new marketing director
Unilever South Central Europe has named Dan Oprescu (in picture), aged 45, to be the new marketing director, according to the company. He replaces Fulvio Guarneri, who was promoted Vice-president Brand Building Home and Personal Care at Unilever Rusia, Ukraina and Belarus (RUB), a position he will occupy starting with August 1, 2011.
Fulvio Guarneri has been working at Unilever South Central Europe since March, 2007, when he took over the position of Brand Building Director, while in March, 2009 he started coordinating from the position of Marketing Director.
Dan Oprescu has over 17 years experience in the consumer goods market. He began his career in 1993 at The Nielsen Company, before joining Unilever in 1998, when he took over the role of brand management to provide home care and personal care. Between 2000 and 2002 he worked for Unilever in Prague, holding the position of Brand Development for body care products and oral care products.
In the last three years, Dan Oprescu led the Consumer, Marketing and Research & Development Division at Hochland Romania and Poland.
Unilever is present on the Romanian market since 1995, and invested over EUR 125 million in the country.
Unilever is represented on the Romanian market by Unilever South Central Europe that coordinates from Bucharest the marketing and sales operations in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Moldova and Kosovo, and Unilever Romania, the company that manages production operations carried out on the industrial platform in Ploiesti.
