Universities in Romania asked to suspend classes for vote
The Romanian Ministry of Education has proposed suspending classes in universities on Friday and Monday “in support of the right to vote,” reports local Hotnews.ro. The second round of the presidential elections in Romania will take place on Sunday, November 16.
A free Friday and Monday would most likely allow students more time to attend the vote on Sunday. Students however can vote in other localities other than their home towns, and usually special voting polls are created in or near universities.
