UPC launches Fiber Power 500 Mbps in 8 cities in Romania
Telecom operator UPC Romania launched a service that allows clients in eight cities in Romania to transfer data at speeds of 500 Mpbs.
“UPC Romania extends its portfolio of high-speed internet services by launching Fiber Power 500 Mbps. In the first phase, the service will be available in eight cities, namely Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Constanta, Ploiesti, Iasi, Galati and Alba Iulia,” reads a statement of the company, cited by local Mediafax.
In April this year, the company announced that its 200 Mbps product is available in its entire coverage area.
UPC is one of the largest cable TV and fixed internet and telephony providers in Romania. The company posted a 7.7% growth in revenues in the first half of this year, to USD 74.2 million. In the second quarter, revenues were up by 8.7%, to USD 37.3 million.
