US quitarist Pat Metheny to perform for the first time in Bucharest this autumn
American guitarist Pat Metheny will play in his first concert in Romania, together with Bill Stewart and Larry Grenadier at Sala Palatului in the Romanian capital city on October 25, starting 19:00 hours. The concert is part of the European tour that the American guitarist will organize in autumn this year. Ticket prices for this event have not yet been announced.
Pat Metheny was born in Kansas City on August 12, 1954 from a family of musicians. At 20, Pat Metheny became assistant professor at the famous Berklee College of Music where he had the opportunity to teach with Gary Burton.
Over time, Pat Metheny has managed to create a unique musical style combining elements of progressive and contemporary post-bop jazz, Latin jazz and jazz fusion, winning 17 Grammy awards and 3 gold records. Since his first solo album, "Bright Size Life", he become a favorite of professional music critics, becoming one of the most influential guitarists of the world.
