The registrations of used cars in Romania reached 350,780 units in the first seven months of this year, up 69.21% over the same period in 2016.

The number of used car registrations of amounted to over 207,300 at the end of July 2016.

Volkswagen was the most popular brand among the used registered cars in the first seven months of this year, with 76,935 units, up 69% year-on-year. Opel came next, with 37,247 units, up 41% year-on-year. Ford ranked third, with 29,532 cars, up 60.8%.

Other popular car brands included Audi, BMW or Mercedes-Benz.

The brands with the lowest number of registrations during this period were Quattro, with six units, Lamborghini, with four units or Pontiac, with three units.
