Polish private equity fund Innova Capital has appointed Utku Ogrendil (in picture) CEO of Provus-RomCard Group, it has announced. Innova Capital took over the majority stake of Provus card processing company and its subsidiary RomCard in January this year.

Utku Ogrendil became the Provus-RomCard Group CEO after having coordinated the retail activities, cards and alternative channels of Credit Europe Bank, where he was vicepresident. He graduated from the Hartford University in Connecticut with a specialization in economics and finance. Before coming to Romania, he has worked for Merrill Lynch Investments, Northwestern Mutual Life Investments and Global Investments in the United States. Utku Ogrendil has worked for over 11 years in the Romanian banking system, occupying management positions.

Provus specializes in processing and card personalization. RomCard's activity is focused on processing transactions, especially online, and on managing virtual POS.
