Vienna Insurance Group sees 30% sale increase in Romania

Austrian insurance group Vienna Insurance Group (VIG), which owns three Romanian insurers, recorded a 30% increase in its gross written premiums in Romania in the first nine months of the year, up to EUR 391.8 million, according to the group’s financial results.

By comparison, the company wrote gross premiums of EUR 300.6 million between January and September last year.

The group reported in Romania a pre-tax profit of EUR 6.4 million in the first nine months of 2016, up almost 17% compared to the same period last year.

Vienna Insurance Group owns in Romania the insurance companies Asirom, Omniasig, and BCR Asigurari de Viata.
