Villages in Romania’s Danube Delta to develop with EUR 1 bln EU funding
Isolated communities in Romania’s Danube Delta will benefit from some EUR 1 billion in EU funding, which will be used for local development. The partnership agreement with the European Commission for the funding will be signed in September this year, according to the president of the Tulcea County Council, Horia Teodorescu, quoted by Agerpres.
The investments in regional development in the Danube Delta will be managed by the Agency for Intercommunitary Development Agency “Integrated Territorial Investments Danube Delta, which will become operational on August 1.
Funding will cover the express road between Constanta, Tulcea, Isaccea and Macin, as well as other regional roads. It will also cover schools and medical units in the Danube Delta villages.
