Vodafone offers free Wi-Fi on five ski slopes in Romania

Telecom company Vodafone is targeting ski lovers in Romania with free Wi-Fi Internet on five ski slopes and a subscription offer that comes with free ski passes. Free Wi-Fi Internet will be available at the bottom of the Cavnic slope in Maramures county, the Arieseni slope in Alba county, the Straja slope in Hunedoara and Gura Humorului in Suceava.
Subscribers to Vodafone's services with two-year contracts will get a skipass with 20 free ascents. The company recently offered metro tickets in Bucharest via text message, after launching free Wi-Fi Internet services in the Romanian capital's metro system.
Vodafone Romania, part of Vodafone Group Plc, had over 8.5 million registered customers by September 30, 2011.
