Telecom operator Vodafone Romania will start selling the new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c starting October 25, and already offers the option to sign up and receive info about the new phone. Vodafone is thus the first local telecom operator to announce a date for including the new devices in its offer, after the phones were first available at several online retailers in Romania.

UPDATE: Orange Romania too has recently announced the phones will be available on its offer on the same day, October 25.

So far, the phones were however on sale without a mobile subscription. Vodafone however is very likely to include the phones into its mobile services subscription packages.

The new iPhone 5S has a new fingerprint identity sensor, a 64-bit A7 chip, an iSight camera, and LTE wireless.

It comes in three capacity options, 16GB, 32 GB and 64 GB, and in three colours, space gray, gold and silver. The prices are of USD 199, USD 299 and USD 399, as listed on Apple's website.

The iPhone 5C, another model of it, comes in six colours, and two capacity options, 16 and 32 GB. This phone has an A6 chip, and is cheaper: at USD 99 and USD 199 according to the producer's website.

”This is our best iPhone launch yet―more than nine million new iPhones sold―a new record for first weekend sales,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.

“The demand for the new iPhones has been incredible and while we’ve sold out of our initial supply of iPhone 5s, stores continue to receive new iPhone shipments regularly. We appreciate everyone’s patience and are working hard to build enough new iPhones for everyone.”
