Want to book a ferry? Freightlink enters the Romanian market
UK-based online freight ferry ticket agency Freightlink has entered the Romanian market as part of a wider plan to expand its services throughout Europe.
The platform, which registered more than 650,000 bookings at the European level in 2015, hopes to sell at least 5,000 tickets in the first year of activity in Romania.
According to data from the UK’s Ministry of Transport, more than 60,000 freight vehicles registered in Romania crossed Great Britain’s borders last year, and more Romanians went to destinations that can be accessed by ferry. Thus, the company has decided to expand its operations to the local market with a platform in Romanian.
On this platform, the users from Romania have access to more than 400 freight ferry routes.
Freightlink offers carriers a direct connection with some of the largest ferry operators in Europe, such as DFDS, P&O, Irish Ferries, Eurotunnel, Grimaldi Lines, and Scandlines.
