Where to party on New Year's Eve in Bucharest?
With heavy snow loads around, what are the options for the New Year's Eve in Bucharest? Where can one be glamorous and have fun, despite temperatures that reach -25 degrees Celsius?
Constitution Square
The New Year's Eve party in the Constitution Square, with free access, starts at 9pm. Loredana, Andra, Delia, Smiley, Alex Velea and Cabron are among the artists that will perform on stage.
The party will also include special performances such as Mirror Dancers, a show that combines dance with the latest lighting technology, Freakquency, a dance show where breakdance meets classical music and urban culture or Invaders Show, a dance, lights and lasers performance. More about the show here, and about traffic restrictions in the area, here.
Palace of Parliament
The New Year Party at the Palace of Parliament, organized for the second year in a row, has a special theme for the night: Hollywood Film Gala. Loredana, Horia and Ozana Barabancea are among the guests that will keep the spirits high. The access card to the event costs between EUR 100 and EUR 300, depending on the menu one chooses. More about the event here.
Bucharest National Opera
The Bucharest National Opera (ONB) invites the public to a New Year's concert, followed by a party and special event held on the esplanade. The package is composed of an entrance ticket to the New Year's Concert, priced between RON 100 and 160 RON/person plus a ticket to participate at the party, between RON 600 and RON 800 lei. Tickets are still available - albeit a limited number - online here.
Titan Park and Brasov Street
There will also be New Year's Eve street parties in some districts of Bucharest.
The 3rd district municipality organises the free-access event in the Titan Park, which this year has the "New Year around the world" theme. Artists such as Bere Gratis, Guess Who, Mihai Margineanu, Elena Gheorghe or Voltage will perform on stage.
The 6th District Municipality organizes a New Year party in a heated tent, in the Brasov Street no. 21, featuring artists like Fuego, Connect-R or Elena Gheorghe. Admission tickets costed RON 160, but they are all sold out.
