Which are the Romanians’ top food cravings?
Sweets top the list of food products 63% of Romanians crave for while 3 out of 10 Romanians prefer carbohydrates and fast food, according to a study conducted by XL–S Medical.
Over 60% of Romanians say they satisfy their cravings without any regrets, and only 3 out of 10 respondents manage to restrain their food desires.
The study also shows that 2 out of 10 Romanians satisfy their cravings but then think about the adverse effects, reports local Mediafax.
Over 63% of Romanian respondents say their cravings occur often or very often. Food cravings usually get more intense in the afternoon and the evening.
Fruits are the most craved foods for 68.53% of respondents, followed by chocolate – 65.11%, cakes – 57.21%, coffee – 54.63% and pizza – 51.43%.
Some 4 out of 10 Romanians can’t identify a reason for these food cravings while almost 19% associate them with boredom and 17.06% with stress. For 13.24%, food craving appears when somebody else has that food product or beverage.
Romanians try to fight the adverse effects of satisfying their longings with sports, food diets or detoxification diets. About 20% use weight loss supplements.
Weight loss supplements producer XL-S Medical conducted the survey on the Ivox online platform, between February 3 and February 11.
