Who could be the new head of Romania's Tax Agency?
The Government wants to appoint the former state secretary Dragos Doros as the head of the Tax Agency ANAF, according to official sources cited by local Profit.ro.
Doros was Secretary of State in the Ministry of Finance in the Mihai Razvan Ungureanu Government in 2012. He is now director of the Tax Assistance department within KPMG Romania.
Doros has not denied the information, but hasn’t confirmed that he was interested in the position either. The Government members will consider appointing another person only if Doros refuses the position, according to sources.
Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos dismissed the former ANAF head Gelu Stefan Diaconu, who is investigated for abuse of office in a case of EU funds fraud and corruption.
