Wienerberger appoints Corneliu Fecioru to lead Romanian operations

Corneliu Fecioru is the new manager of Austrian Wienerberger’s operations in Romania. He is a member of the company’s board for Sales and Marketing, according to the company.

Corneliu Fecioru has over 15 years of experience as an executive, and 11 years in the construction sector. He has held positions in companies such as Lafarge Romania and Gebruder Weiss. His last position was Sales and Marketing Manager with Austrian company Gebruder Weiss, while previously he held several positions at Lafarge Romania.

Corneliu Fecioru graduated from the Technical University in Iasi, and holds a bachelor's degree in Management from the University of Hertfordshire in Great Britain. He also went through several management development programs at IMD (Switzerland) and INSEAD (France).

See his CV here. Wienerberger, which entered the local market in 1998, owns factories in Dambovita, Sibiu and Cluj counties. Its 2010 turnover was of around EUR 28 million in Romania. Recently, the company announced its plans to build a new production unit in Romania, with an investment of EUR 22 million.
