Wild Romania photo exhibition opens at the Romanian Embassy in Madrid

22 June 2023

An outdoor exhibition of photos taken by local photographer Dan Dinu as part of the Wild Romania/România sălbatică project opened at the Romanian Embassy in Madrid on June 21, giving visitors a chance to discover some of the wildest and most spectacular places in Romania's national parks. The photographs will be on display until December.

"The goal of the initiative carried out with the support of ICR Madrid, is to bring the natural landscapes, flora and fauna of Romania closer to the inhabitants of the Spanish capital, promoting the biodiversity of our country, an increasingly popular ecotourism destination," the Embassy said on its Facebook page.

In parallel, the Gallery of the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) in Madrid also hosts an indoor Wild Romania exhibition until August 30.

Wild Romania is the largest documentary project exploring Romania's nature and wildlife. After thousands of kilometres traveled, hundreds of hours of filming and more than ten years of pre-production, the film presents images for the first time for Romania, from spectacular and hard-to-reach regions, as well as unique stories about the country's biodiversity.
