Wizz Air adds 3 new flights from Cluj, Romania: to Italy, The Netherlands and Belgium
Low cost airline Wizz Air is operating three new routes from Cluj-Napoca: to Bari, Italy, Eindhoven, The Netherlands and Brussels-Charleroi in Belgium. The flights became operational this week and Wizz Air has added a third aircraft to the two already based in Cluj.
Counting the three new flights, Wizz Air now operates 18 routes out of Cluj, including destinations in Hungary, Italy, France, Spain, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.
“The arrival of the third aircraft will stimulate job growth, with benefits to the customers and the economy. Wizz Air Fleet Cluj-Napoca has received an investment of over USD 240 million” said Daniel de Carvalho, corporate communications manager at Wizz Air, quoting the list price of the Airbus airplane.
Prices for single flights on the Cluj – Bari route range from as low as EUR 10, without additional costs.
Wizz Air is the largest low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe and operates a fleet of 41 Airbus A320 aircraft running some 270 routes across Europe and beyond from 16 bases. Wizz Air has 1,500 employees and had some 13.5 million passengers in Q1 2013.
