Romania women’s handball team qualifies for the World Championship’s eighth-finals
Romania’s national women’s handball team qualified on Tuesday, December 5, for the last 16 round of the World Championship after a 19:17 victory against Spain.
Thus, Romania have kept their clean record with the optimum of six points in Group A.
After the match, Spanish-born Romania coach Ambros Martin said: “We felt like home.”
The Romanian women’s handball team qualified for the World Championship 2017 in June, after defeating Austria 33:24 (11:13) in the second phase of the play-offs. The match took place in Stockerau, Austria.
The 2017 Women’s Handball World Championship started in Germany on December 1, and will end on December 17.
