A young Romanian has returned to her home country after studying abroad, to set up her own business on an already competitive market: the escape games.

Anca Meliu, a 24-year old Romanian who graduated in communication in UK, came back home to open Time Escape, a new escape game in the Romanian capital.

"I chose to return to Romania trusting there are many unexplored opportunities at home and that one can be. An entrepreneur, against all negative feedback I got in UK. After more than three years in consultancy n London and Bucharest, I set ip, together with two partners, a real time escape game, on a highly competitive market,” said Meliu, creative partner with Time Escape.

The company recently opened its first two escape rooms, both of which send players back in time. They have 60 minutes to solve a mystery and unlock the room. The rooms are called the Ides of March, and the Castle. The latter takes players to Dracula’s room in 1897. They have to escape the room before the count wakes up.
