Zucchero returns to Bucharest with Chocabeck tour concert this summer
Zucchero, the best-selling artist of Italy will play in Romania for the fourth time. He will perform at Arenele Romane on June 21 at 20,00 hours. The concert is part of a tour called Chocabeck World Tour 2011. Chocabeck is the name of his new album released in 2010 and contains 11 tracks written by the artist himself. Some of them have also benefited from the contribution of Bono, U2’s leading singer.
Ticket prices start from RON 100 and go up to RON 250 in the VIP section. Zucchero- Anselmo Fornaciari on his real name – was born on September 25, 1955. He started his singing career in 1970 adopting the stage name of Zucchero - the name that made him known throughout the world. He sold over 40 million CDs worldwide and won many prizes including two World Music Awards and a Grammy nomination. His greatest hit is “Senza una donna”, which was for a long time number one in all European charts.
He shared the stage with great artists such as Sting, Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Elton John, Bono, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker, Sheryl Crow and many others. Ray Charles said about him that "this guy is so talented ... great voice ... maybe one of the best blues singers I have ever worked with".
