A total of 13 Romanian companies have made it in Deloitte’s 2015 Technology Fast 500 for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) ranking.

In the 2014 list, Romania had seven companies on the same list.

The ranking includes the fastest-growing public and private companies active in technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and clean technology from over 20 countries in the region. The results are based on the companies’ revenue growth in four years.

At number 85, Bucharest-based ZebraPay is the best-ranked Romanian company in the 2015 list. This company was also the fastest-growing Romanian technology company between 2011 and 2014 in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 in Central Europe ranking.

ITNT, one of the most successful entrepreneurial tech initiatives on the local market, is ranked 89th in the 2015 Technology Fast 500 EMEA list while Astinvest Com is at number 127.

The other nine Romanian companies which made it in this year’s ranking are Insoft Development and Consulting (172), Piconet (206), Geskimo (238), Nordlogic Software (263), Life Is Hard (271), Bittnet Systems (360), Qualitance QBS (400), dcs plus (SC DCS Fast Link SRL - 476), Accesa IT Consulting (480), and Gama IT (499).

Bittnet Systems and Life Is Hard listed their shares on the Bucharest Stock Exchange's AeRO marked dedicated to small and medium enterprises and start-ups earlier this year.
