6,000 new homes due this year in central and northern Bucharest
About 6,000 new homes should be delivered in Bucharest’s central, semi-central, and northern areas this year, according to Coldwell Banker Affiliates of Romania. More than half of them will be located in the north of Bucharest.
Almost 25% of the new homes are in the premium or luxury category whereas about 66% of them are targeted for the middle class.
Bucharest will be going through a social and demographic change in the next years, said Alexandru Pricop, Coldwell Banker Affiliates of Romania managing partner.
Over 70,000 people work in the office buildings located in the north of Bucharest, and their number will continue to grow. More and more people who have bought houses through the First House program between 2009 and 2012 will make an upgrade in the next years, and will move to better areas, such as the semi-central and northern Bucharest, said Pricop.
