Affiliated marketing brings EUR 3.5 mln sales to eMAG.ro

The aggregate revenues of online store eMAG’s affiliate marketing system partner sites doubled last year compared to 2009, according to the online shop. Therefore, eMAG partners have generated sales of about EUR 3,5 million (VAT free) in 2010.

The company's partners received commissions of EUR 112,000 in 2010 through the affiliated marketing system called ProfitShare. In December last year, the number of partners enrolled in ProfitShare eMAG reached 8,690 active sites.

“With an average sale of EUR 1,2 per click without VAT, over 12 higher than other competitors, we will continue to increase the number of related sites this year”, said Radu Apostolescu, eMAG vice president and development director. eMAG.ro offers a commisison of 3 percent from the sales generated through online ads on affiliated partner sites.

Through ProfitShare, the highest sales were achieved on the laptops segment. Along with Asesoft Distribution and Flanco, eMAG is part of the group of companies controlled by businessman Iulian Stanciu. In 2010 the company, which is the biggest online shop in Romania, achieved a turnover of EUR 102 million, up 60 percent from 2009.
