After Lebanese market entry, AdePlast wants EUR 7,6 mln from exports

17 March 2011

Adeplast Oradea, a producer of construction materials owned by businessman Marcel Barbut (in picture), has recently completed the first product transport towards Lebanon and expects to double the weight of exports in its turnover, to 20 percent this year.

“We want to focus more on the external trade so that the exports may represent 20 percent of our sales figure. One of the important markets that we aim at is the Ukraine,” says Marcel Barbut, the owner of AdePlast.

The company has delivered 80 tonnes of materials for marble and granite works. Since the beginning of the year, AdePlast has also exported to Hungary, Republic of Moldavia and Greece.

Last year, the exports accumulated almost 10 percent of the company’s total turnover of EUR 30 million. When it comes to business evolution during 2011, the company has various scenarios. The optimistic version anticipates a 20-25 percent growth, whereas the pessimistic one forecasts only a 10 percent augmentation of the company’s turnover since the market stagnates at the level of 2010.

If the business grows with 25 percent and reaches EUR 37,8 million in 2011, the exports may produce EUR 7,6 million.

AdePlast was founded in Oradea, in 1994. The company now owns two production units, at Oradea and Ploiesti. Their annual capacity reaches 700.000 tonnes of mortar and 800.000 tonnes of tincture, decorative coating and special humid adhesives.
