Romanian medicine producer Antibiotice Iasi said it is investing almost RON 14 mln (EUR 2.8 mln) to develop a photovoltaic energy production facility with an installed capacity of 2.5MW.

Over 25% of the money, namely RON 4 mln, is received as a grant under the national relaunch and resilience plan PNRR, Profit.ro reported.

The investment will provide more than a quarter of the company's electricity needs.

The production capacity will be located on Antibiotice's industrial platform and stretch over a built area of 31,428 square meters by installing 4,680 photovoltaic panels.
