ArcelorMittal invests EUR 25 mln in plate mill upgrade in Romania

Steel company ArcelorMittal Galati will invest over EUR 25 million in upgrading one of its plate mills, the company has announced. “This major investment pack enables us to make a step further in our ongoing transformation programme in order to restore the competitiveness of ArcelorMittal Galati”, said Thierry Le Gall, CEO ArcelorMittal Galati.

ArcelorMittal Galati is part of ArcelorMittal group, the largest steel producer in the world. ArcelorMittal Group had revenues of USD 78 billion last year and its steel production reached90.6 million tonnes, representing about 8 percent of the world's steel output.
